Cradle cap or dry scalp affects mostly newborns during early weeks after birth. It appears on the head of the baby. The causes of cradle cap is because of the constant friction of the baby on the pillow or bed linen. Using coconut oil can protect the baby head become flaky or dry.

Apply a small amount on your baby’s affected area (scalp) and massage the head gently.
Let the oil stay for about 20 minutes and use a baby comb to remove the flakes gently.
Then, rinse your baby’s hair with lukewarm water.
2. Eczema
Apply a small amount of coconut oil on affected area and massage your baby gently before or after bath time and before bedtime. It is to ensure that your baby get enough moisture and hydration to the affected area.
Apply coconut oil regularly and the eczema will gradually decrease.
3. Diaper Rash
Apply a thin layer of coconut oil on your baby’s diaper area after bath time and during diaper change.
Make sure to massage the groin area where the rash first appears.

4. Insect Bites
Apply a small amount of coconut oil on your hands and rub it between your palms to warm up.
