Using Daionica® Coconut Oil for baby skin

Babies skins are tender and easily get wound, infections or rashes if parents do not carefully on choosing baby products. But, coconut oil is a natural product that is very suitable for your angels. Coconut oil is rich with its natural properties including anti-inflammatory, antioxidant and antibacterial that give benefits to your angels because it can protect the baby skin for a longer time than other cream. What are the benefits?

1. Cradle Cap

Cradle cap or dry scalp affects mostly newborns during early weeks after birth. It appears on the head of the baby. The causes of cradle cap is because of the constant friction of the baby on the pillow or bed linen. Using coconut oil can protect the baby head become flaky or dry.



2. Eczema

Eczema happens when the skin becomes very dry and causes itchiness. It is very common happens in babies as their skins are very sensitive and prone to dryness. By using coconut oil, it can help to moisture and hydrate baby skin. This can give some relief to the baby.


3. Diaper Rash

Diaper rash is also very common occurs in babies due to urination. It is a rash around baby’s groin and is in red colour which can cause discomfort or pain to baby. Sometimes the rashes will spread if parents do not take the precaution. Coconut oil is a great moisturizer that can nourish and treat irritated skin. It is also does not ruin cloth nappies because the oil absorb quickly to the skin.


4. Insect Bites

Babies are prone to insect bites than adults and their skins can easily turn red and become swelling. If this condition do not treat well, their skin has a higher chance turning into infection. This is the reason the coconut oil is suitable for baby skin because of its properties that are antibacterial and anti-inflammatory. It can help to reduce the swelling and help the wound heal faster.



How to use coconut oil?

1. For Cradle Cap

Apply a small amount on your baby’s affected area (scalp) and massage the head gently.

Let the oil stay for about 20 minutes and use a baby comb to remove the flakes gently.

Then, rinse your baby’s hair with lukewarm water.


2. Eczema

Apply a small amount of coconut oil on affected area and massage your baby gently before or after bath time and before bedtime. It is to ensure that your baby get enough moisture and hydration to the affected area.

Apply coconut oil regularly and the eczema will gradually decrease.


3. Diaper Rash

Apply a thin layer of coconut oil on your baby’s diaper area after bath time and during diaper change.

Make sure to massage the groin area where the rash first appears.

The coconut oil can moisture the skin and treat the diaper rash quickly heal.


4. Insect Bites


Apply a small amount of coconut oil on your hands and rub it between your palms to warm up.

Then, apply gently on your baby’s skin where the insect bite. Make sure rub it gently to prevent discomfort to your baby.

Apply again the coconut oil in the next bath time.
